Following the debut 10" single TOMORROW MORNING, 3 A.M. b/w WORKHOUSE, Occultation Recordings are proud to announce the release of a new single by THE GRANITE SHORE. FLOOD OF FORTUNE b/w HIGHWAY CODE will be released as a 7" single (RHEA7DA006) in June 2010. The single features writer/producer Nick Halliwell, Phil Wilson (June Brides), Arash Torabi (The Painted Word) and Andy Fonda (Some Beans) and the basic tracks were recorded in a tiny villlage in Devon, highly appropriate given the lyrical content. |

The single also features full string and brass arrangements, the former by Vaughan Jones, recorded in London, and the latter by Probyn Gregory (Brian Wilson, Wondermints, etc.) in Los Angeles with additional backing vocals by Bella Quinn (Exeter, since you ask). It is a huge record in every way, a classic 7" single and we are expecting very big things of it. |
