Following the debut 10" single TOMORROW MORNING, 3 A.M. b/w WORKHOUSE, Occultation Recordings are proud to announce the release of a new single by THE GRANITE SHORE. FLOOD OF FORTUNE b/w HIGHWAY CODE will be released as a 7" single (RHEA7DA006) in June 2010. The single features writer/producer Nick Halliwell, Phil Wilson (June Brides), Arash Torabi (The Painted Word) and Andy Fonda (Some Beans) and the basic tracks were recorded in a tiny villlage in Devon, highly appropriate given the lyrical content. |

Website unpopular-culture.com described the first Granite Shore single thus: ‘[Doomed romantics] There’s something of that in The Granite Shore… it’s a doomed romance that swells with a brittle strength and quiet pride. And indeed, the more I listen to ‘Tomorrow morning, 3 a.m.’ the more convinced I am by its breathtaking scope and ambition’. |
